22 January 2020 Monica Madeley, Projects and Engagement Officer
In late December, AGCAS, AHUA, HECSU and HESPA joined forces to express concerns to HESA over Graduate Outcomes. A joint letter, signed by each of the four representative bodies, was sent to HESA just before Christmas, clearly setting out a number of areas for concern. On 16th January, Paul Clark, HESA’s Chief Executive, responded.
Today we joined a teleconference with HESA to go through some of the key issues in more detail. These involved SIC and SOC coding, data quality, weighting, response rates, postgraduate study and publication. A formal summary of the discussion with additional information will be shared from HESA early next week (we will share this when we have it), but in the meantime here are our notes. If you have comments to make, wish to ask any questions or just get involved in the debate, please join or follow this Graduate Outcomes 2020 discussion thread.
