Hannah is Head of Planning and Insight at Abertay University in Dundee, where she leads the institution’s work on statutory reporting, business intelligence, performance metrics, data analytics, and risk and data governance. She is responsible for turning complex data into clear, meaningful insight that informs strategic decision-making across the University.
With an academic background and doctorate in mathematics, Hannah led the Business Intelligence team at the University of St Andrews for six years before moving to Abertay in 2022. She specialises in automated reporting solutions, data-transformation pipelines and analytical tools that support effective institutional planning and performance. Her professional passion is “making data useful”: ensuring that reliable, well-designed information reaches the right people at the right time. She is particularly driven by continuous improvement and creating data processes that are transparent, efficient and genuinely add value, all underpinned by a strong commitment to evidence-informed decision-making.
