Simon joined Lancaster University in June 2016 as Director of Strategy and Policy and his current role incorporates strategic and annual planning, business intelligence, corporate governance, information compliance and the provision of policy advice in support of the Vice-Chancellor and Executive Team. Simon has worked in HE sector for over 15 years and his previous roles have included Director of Planning at the University of Strathclyde, Deputy Director of Universities Scotland, Deputy Director of Planning & Head of Public Policy at the University of Edinburgh and the management UK learning and information services for JISC. Simon holds a BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford, an MA in Librarianship from the University of Sheffield and an MSc in Public Relations from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.
