Representing members, both inside and outside of the sector, and presenting a strong unified voice where possible, is a key part of HESPA’s work. HESPA lobbies agencies, sector bodies, government and other policymakers for improvements to be made to benefit its members, and the sector overall. It is involved in sector-wide discussion and debate and strives to keep its members well informed.

Development

Being a central source of learning and development for members is one of HESPA’s main activities. HESPA offers a busy annual training programme, covering a diverse range of topics in line with its members broad array of remits and responsibilities. HESPA training is open to all roles and levels and, where appropriate, colleagues from other functions are encouraged to attend, recognising the need for a coordinated and collaborative approach between different departments at member institutions.

HESPA offers a unique platform for members to connect and share challenges and opportunities. A number of special interest groups exist to advance strategy and planning work in the sector and HESPA also offers private discussion boards for members to communicate discreetly with one another in a safe space. HESPA events and other activities also heavily promote networking and community-building.

We support our members via advocacy, development and networking opportunities. Membership to HESPA is institutional. Once subscribed, there is no limit to the number of staff who can join. Individual staff members just need to register online to access our services.

The following ticket types are available for the HESPA Conference 2027:

HESPA 2027 - Early Bird - Full Delegate Ticket, available until 4 December 2026. £575 + VAT

This ticket type includes: Two days of HESPA conference; Wednesday night accommodation; Wednesday evening conference drinks reception and dinner.

HESPA 2027 - Full Delegate Ticket, available from 5 December 2026. £700 +VAT

This ticket type includes: Two days of HESPA conference; Wednesday night accommodation; Wednesday evening conference drinks reception and dinner.

HESPA 2027 - Day Delegate - Wednesday 24 February. £200 + VAT

This ticket type includes: Access to HESPA conference on Wednesday 24 February only.

HESPA 2027 - Day Delegate - Thursday 25 February. £200 + VAT

This ticket type includes: Access to HESPA conference on Thursday 25 February only.

HESPA 2027 - Conference Dinner Ticket. £100 + VAT

This ticket type includes: Wednesday evening conference drinks reception and dinner.

HESPA 2027 - Tuesday 23 February Accommodation. £160 + VAT

This ticket type includes: Accommodation for Tuesday 23 February and breakfast on Wednesday 24 February. Please only book this ticket type in conjunction with a full conference ticket, or Wednesday Day Delegate ticket.

HESPA Executive Committee Ticket

This ticket type is for HESPA Executive Committee members only. Please only book this ticket type if you have been invited to do so. It includes: Access to HESPA conference on 24 and 25 February; Accommodation on 23 and 24 February; Executive committee dinner on 23 February; Wednesday evening conference drinks reception and dinner.
